I am a visual story teller from Whiting, Indiana with a passion for design, creativity and a good story. I currently attend Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where I am pursuing a degree in Journalism Graphics. At Ball State, I am heavily involved with Unified Student Media, where I am the Enterprise Design Editor for Ball Bearings Magazine. I also design for the Daily News and the BSU Digital Publishing Studio. I am also involved Ball State's chapter of Society for News Design.

I have learned through my professors and my work in student media that I want to tell stories that elicit visual creativity and evoke emotion. I’ve learned that good design doesn’t always have to be pretty; the beauty of good design is its purpose. It’s not about the ideas you come up with to conceptualize a design; design is making those ideas actually happen to tell a story.

While design and storytelling are my passions, I also love chai tea lattes, overwatching television sitcoms and polkaing in parades. I enjoy reading celebrity memoirs and watching You’ve Got Mail and will never miss an opportunity to play a game of Scrabble.
